What you need to apply and what happens next.
Before you apply
Costs
From the moment you apply, you pay nothing. The employer covers all costs, including your flight to Germany.
Duration
Getting to Germany takes patience. The employer's decision, the recognition and the visa each take time. As soon as there is news, we will get in touch.
German certificate or German course
Only certificates from Goethe-Institut, telc, ÖSD and TestDaF are recognised. You can apply from level A1. No certificate yet? Then a course preparing for one of these exams is enough.
Passport
Without a passport, recognition and visa cannot start. Don't have one yet? Please send us an email first.
Email address
We contact you mainly by email. We also send documents, contracts and messages from the authorities to this address.
CV and photo
You upload both directly in the form. Please fill in the form in German.
What happens next

Application received
You receive a confirmation by email. We review your details and documents. If something is missing, we get in touch.

Presented to an employer
If your profile fits a job or an apprenticeship, we present you to the employer with your application video. The employer's decision can take a while. As soon as we know more, we will get in touch.

Getting to know each other
The employer would like to meet you in an interview.

Offer
The employer confirms the job or the apprenticeship to you in writing.

Recognition of your qualification
The competent authority in Germany reviews your qualification. This is not necessary for every profession. We will tell you whether you need it.

Visa
Application and appointment at the German embassy. We support you throughout.
- 7
Arrival
We book your flight to Germany. Then your job or your apprenticeship begins.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I have to pay anything?
- No. From the moment you apply, you pay nothing. The employer covers all costs, including your flight to Germany.
- What level of German do I need?
- You can apply from level A1. Only certificates from Goethe-Institut, telc, ÖSD and TestDaF are recognised.
- I don't have a certificate yet. Can I still apply?
- Yes, if you are currently attending a German course that prepares for one of these exams. Enter the date of your exam in the form. Shortly before the exam we will ask for your certificate. Without a certificate and without a course we cannot accept your application.
- Is a certificate for one part of the exam enough?
- No. The certificate must cover all four parts: reading, listening, writing and speaking. If you passed the parts separately, please upload all certificates.
- I have sent my application video. Is everything all right?
- We use your video to present you to suitable employers. The employer's decision can take a while. As soon as we know more, we will get in touch.
- How will you contact me?
- Mainly by email. Please check your inbox regularly. You can send us questions at any time at info@jahnke-fv.de.
- How long do you keep my data?
- Up to twelve months after our last contact. You can withdraw your consent at any time. We will then delete your data.
